Accessibility statement
Last updated: October 26, 2026. This page describes the site as currently built.
1. Target
This site aims to conform to WCAG 2.2 level AA. Accessibility is treated as a build requirement, not a retrofit.
2. What is in place
Semantic structure with a single heading order; every form control labelled; all interactive elements reachable by keyboard with a visible focus indicator; text contrast of at least 4.5:1 for the token palette (checked automatically on every build); charts are always doubled by text values, so no information is carried by colour or shape alone; reduced-motion preferences are respected; and a print layout is provided for the calculator results.
3. What is checked, and what is not
On every verification run, an automated pass covers the flagship calculators: a full keyboard walkthrough (focus order recorded, every control reachable, named and carrying a visible focus indicator, no focus traps), a 200% zoom review for overflow, and text-contrast ratios computed for every foreground/background pair the design uses. Every page is also swept at mobile and desktop widths for horizontal overflow. The results are part of the build's verification record.
That automated pass is not a screen-reader test, and no manual screen-reader pass has been completed yet. Some barriers may therefore remain for assistive-technology users. This section states the whole of what has been verified; it will be updated when a screen-reader pass is recorded.
4. Reporting a barrier
If any page blocks you, write to PaycheckSum at the contact address published on the About page. Reports are answered with a workaround or a fix, in that order.
