Canada payroll calculators

Paycheck and employer-cost calculators for Canada, tax year 2026 — all thirteen provinces and territories, computed from Canada's own official sources: the Canada Revenue Agency's T4127/T4032 formulas and Revenu Québec's TP-1015.F.

Calculators

Coverage

The Canada engines compute an employee paycheque and an employer's total cost for every province and territory: Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Saskatchewan and Yukon. Federal parameters (CPP, EI, federal income tax) and each jurisdiction's own tax come from one data pack, verified line by line against the primary publications — status: primary-verified, 13 of 13 jurisdictions. Quebec employment runs on its own sub-engine: QPP, QPIP and Quebec income tax are Revenu Québec programs and are never blended with the CRA rules.

A market in development

Canada is the newest market on this site — opened for tax year 2026 and in development. It is built country by country, on Canada's own tax rules, pay periods, official sources and content; it is not an adaptation of the United States module and does not claim its depth. What exists today is the calculator set above. A Canada article library, province-by-province guides and a Canadian salary layer do not exist yet; the site's guides and salary data cover the United States and say so where they appear.

What is not covered

  • Free-form entry: the Canada calculators run on declared precomputed matrices (province × salary × pay frequency). Any other salary or frequency is not computed on these pages in this version.
  • Prince Edward Island's July–December catch-up withholding (a 21% sixth-bracket rate applied mid-year): a withholding mechanic, not an annual rate — the engine applies the annual 20% rate evenly, as the paycheck calculator's known limits state.
  • Workers' compensation premiums (WSIB, WorkSafeBC, CNESST and equivalents): classification-based and not modelled; employer totals exclude them.
  • Cross-province cases beyond the documented residence rule — income tax by the province of residence on December 31, pension and EI by the province of employment. Special situations (for example detached workers) are not modelled.

Canada Revenue Agency — T4127, Payroll Formulas for Computer Programs (122nd edition, January 2026) and the T4032 provincial payroll guides; the CRA's PDOC calculator, against which the engine was arbitrated to a $0.00 residual on the frozen test grid. Revenu Québec — TP-1015.F, Formulas to Calculate Source Deductions and Contributions (2026 edition) and TP-1015.G-V for employer parameters; Retraite Québec for QPP parameters. Quebec income tax was arbitrated against Revenu Québec's WebRAS simulator and agrees with it to the cent on the official cases.
